Hold on tight!
Okay. I've been away from the blog for a bit. Sorry about that, circumstances were conspiring against me. But a friend sent me an email which reminded me of a song from yesteryear. So, back to the blogging world I wander and offer the following:
Hold On Tight to Your Dream
ELO
Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see your ship go sailing
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hold tight to your dream.
It’s a long time to be gone
Time just rolls on and on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you get so sick of trying
Just hold tight to your dream
Chorus:
When you get so down that you can’t get up
And you want so much but you’re all out of luck
When you’re so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over & over & over you could
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Accroches-toi a ton reve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sents -- ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi a ton reve.
Repeat chorus:
Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see the shadows falling
When you hear that cold wind calling
Hold on tight to your dream.
Oh, yeah
Hold on tight to your dream
Yeah, hold on tight...
To your dream.

Ahhh. I don't remember this song. Should I? And what are they saying in the chorus?
Still, the words are great.

You don't remember? Hard to believe. The French part is just repeating to hold on to your dream. I guess cause french sounds cool. And the thing that made me think of this song was a comment I had written in a yearbook someone scanned recently about holding onto your dreams. ELO always had good lyrics!

Heheh. I knew what made you think of this song the moment I read it!
I'll have to see if I can find the song on Amazon.com to see if it will jog my memory.
My w.v. - "prnot" - Basically what I tell my kids when I want them to use it or get off the pot!

OMG! I found the song on Amazon ... I think you put that song on the tape you made me back in high school!
Wow!

I probably did put it on the tape. ELO was one of my favorite groups (and still is).
