Points to Ponder
Eight Thoughts to Ponder for 2008...
Number 8
Life is sexually transmitted.
Number 7
Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
Number 6
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day, teach a person to usethe Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.
Number 5
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Number 4
All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.
Number 3
Why does a slight tax increase cost you $200.00 and a substantial tax cutsaves you $30.00?
Number 2
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world isweird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
Number 1 Thought For 2008:
We know exactly where ONE cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among millions and millions of cows in America, but we haven't got a clue as towhere millions of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located.
Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of Immigration!!!!
Gimme' some sugar baby!
This is for my Biscuitish friend, who I must say looks rather fetching in a too tiny Mrs. Claus outfit decorating her trees in the snow. That's 'nuff said though 'cause I know she can whup my ass. ;-)
Cherry Pie
By: Warrant
Album: Cherry Pie
Circa: 1990
She's my cherry pie,
Cool drink of water, such a sweet surprise.
Tastes so good make a grown man cry,
Sweet cherry pie.
Swingin' on the front porch, Swingin' on the lawn.
Swingin' where we want, Cause there ain't nobody home.
Swingin' to the left, And swingin' to the right.
If I think about baseball, I'll swing all night, yeah.
Swingin' in the living room, Swingin' in the kitchen.
Most folks don't cause, They're too busy bitchin'.
Swingin' in there cause, She wanted me to feed her.
So I mixed up the batter, And she licked the beater.
I scream, you scream, We all scream for her.
Don't even try cause, You can't ignore her.
She's my cherry pie,
Cool drink of water, such a sweet surprise.
Tastes so good make a grown man cry,
Sweet cherry pie, oh yeah.
She's my cherry pie,
Put a smile on your face ten miles wide.
Looks so good, bring a tear to your eye,
Sweet cherry pie.
Swingin' to the drums, Swingin' to guitar.
Swingin' to the bass, In the back of my car.
Ain't got money, Ain't got no gas.
But we'll get where we're goin' if we swing real fast.
I scream, you scream, We all scream for her.
Don't even try cause, You can't ignore her.
She's my cherry pie,
Cool drink of water, such a sweet surprise.
Tastes so good, make a grown man cry,
Sweet cherry pie, oh yeah.
She's my cherry pie,
Put a smile on your face ten miles wide.
Looks so good, bring a tear to your eye,
Sweet cherry pie.
Swing it!
All night long…
Swing it!
Swingin’ in the bathroom, Swingin' on the floor.
Swingin' so hard, We forgot to lock the door.
In walks her daddy, Standin' six foot four.
He said, “You ain't gonna swing with my daughter no more.”
Sweet cherry pie…Swing it!

Dogs Know
Have you ever heard that a dog "knows" when an earthquake is about to hit?
Have you ever heard that a dog can "sense" when a tornado is stirring up, even twenty miles away?
Do you remember hearing that, before the December tsunami struck Southeast Asia, dogs started running frantically away from the seashore, at breakneck speed?
I'm a firm believer that animals - and especially dogs - have keen insights into the Truth.
And you can't tell me that dogs can't sense a potentially terrible disaster well in advance.
Simply said, a good ol' hound dog just KNOWS when something isn't right...
when impending doom is upon us...

Thai Music Video - LABANOON - Yaam (ยาม)
Song Title: Yaam (ยาม)
Group: LABANOON
This is one of the few Thai language songs I actually like to sing karaoke. It always amazed my Thai friends or coworkers when I would sing in Thai.
Yaam is a security guard. This song is the story of a security guard who is in love with a lady who lives in the building where he works, but she doesn't know he's even alive.
I love this song in particular because years ago I worked as a security guard and understand what it feels like to be a non-entity to the people coming and going.

Thai Music Video - 4-Mod
Song Title: hai jai pen tur
Group Name: 4-Mod
This is what I would call "Cute Pop". It was one of the most popular songs in Thailand back in 2004. There was no escape from the very catchy chorus of this song "Hai jai kao kuh hur tur. Hai jai auk kuh hur tur. Pen arai maak mai loy bap nee?..." It was everyone's ring tone. It was on all the cutesy commercials on TV. It was all over the radio. It was everywhere, and it was incredibly catchy!!
Personally, I don't think the girls have much real singing talent. What they have is incredible cuteness, and really good producers and writers.
I'll be posting more music from Thailand from other groups as I find them. Come back again if you want to listen. :-)
